GENERAL

The P2002 SIERRA RG is the retractable gear version of the SIERRA. Derived directly from the P2002 JR certified CS/VLA, the P2002 SIERRA RG differs exclusively for the retraction system that is pneumatic rather than hydraulic. The choice of this different retraction system was dictated by the limited weight allowance imposed.

Tapered wing, laminar airfoils, slotted flaps, up turned wing tips and a streamlined fuselage give to the P2002 SIERRA RG outstanding performances. The P2002 SIERRA RG is a two-seater side by side, low wing aircraft with retractable landing gear. The plane outstanding performance and flying qualities together with low operating costs, easy piloting and maintenance, make of this aircraft an excellent solution for the flying-schools and training activity, and also for many other missions as touring, territory surveillance, patrol, etc.

A long experience in this field has allowed to realize a simple and light structure, easy to inspect and repair, by using many original design solution, manufacturing methods and tooling.
